I meant to upload this photo to my site but I accidentally saved it in the wrong place and forgot all about it until i had spent nearly all morning and afternoon today updating my site, uploading all my recent photos and adding my new categories. By the time i committed all of it to gitHub i was literally exhausted. So this one remains on the blog only for now.
My right shoulder has been bothering me a lot lately. It's a rotator cuff issue but today it hurt too much to go to Werner Boyce to get some of my voluntary work turned in. That had been my plan but yesterday's trip to Key Vista did me in. I enjoyed working with my photos today though.
This photo was one of a few i took when practicing my horizon line being straight and slightly off-setting subjects to the side rather than smack in the middle, where i learned in my photography class is best practice. I've always painstakingly tried to get my subjects perfectly centered until i heard this. It's been harder to move away from that but practice makes perfect! I do like the way this one came out.
Here is another one that did make it to my site, and this one isn't quite perfect either but i was also practicing with a much larger lens and that boat is further away than you might think. It may be smack in the middle, but i was more impressed with my focus on this one than anything else.
I like this one for all sorts of reasons. Beauty meets industry
