My First Pileated Woodpecker Shot

I finally got these uploaded to my website today but i'm literally waiting, after six hours for my changes to deploy. Grrrr! But hey, github is free if you can code. And I can so I do. Click that link to see the massive code that goes into the page. Fortunately the majority of it is reusable code. Still the main reason i use blogger instead of coding my own blog. My website takes a ridiculous amount of my time. Last thing i have time to do is code a blog and create a UI....last time i did that i was still in school and coding in Ruby. Anyone who has done that knows the crazy steps involved. I'm too old for that crap now.

I would have likely gotten more shots but this idiot, roughly in his 60's or 70's at least, riding a huge adult tricycle with enough junk hanging from it i'm pretty sure he was homeless or crazy, with a portable speaker blaring some kind of rock music, comes barreling down the boardwalk and scared it off. Then has the nerve to ride by and say (snarkily) "I apologize, there will be another one."

That was my first woodpecker! Had I not already gotten some great shots he may have found himself and his tricycle upside down in the marsh with the mosquitos and spiders.

What I meant to say is....because I exhibited the Patience Virtue i am working on, i allowed him to continue down the trail unscathed. I think his shirt was off and there were nipple rings too, but my brain blocked some of the encounter out for my own protection and sanity.
