My Bad Ass Spaghetti and Meatballs

 


Ingredients

  • 1 package spaghetti pasta
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/3 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup fresh chopped basil
  • 1/4 cup fresh chopped oregano
  • fresh chopped chives
  • 1 egg
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp onion pepper
  • kosher salt
  • pepper
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 bay leaf

Instructions

  1. In lg bowl combine beef, bread crumbs, herbs, garlic, egg, and 1 tsp salt
  2. create meatballs with mixture, approximately 1" in diameter
  3. Heat olive oil in large pot over medium-low heat
  4. Add meatballs and cook until all sides are browned
  5. add tomato sauce and bayleaf
  6. simmer 8-10 minutes
  7. serve over spaghetti pasta with garlic bread

Enjoy!

*Most of you will want to add Parmesan cheese to taste. That is fine. My family adds it after I cook it. I think it smells like the devil's asshole and personally refuse to use it myself. I dislike mushrooms and chunky sauces. Feel free to further spice up your own sauce. I keep mine to a minimum. :)
